Double Helix Ground Anchors
I bought a pair of double helix anchors for a new 20 ft long tandem axle utility trailer. One to use as an anchor for security chain and the other to winch the uncooperative beast through a turn and uphill in the packed sand of our back yard. In spite of the poor holding power of sand, the anchor did its job. The security chain I wanted was 3/8" thick. The stated width of Pewag brand chain indicated that it would not pass through the eye of the anchor which the nice folks at Milspec were kind enough to measure for me. But Laclede brand 3'8" chain did pass through the eyed. These anchors are really nice. Heavy 3/4" rod with welded and heavy hot dipped galvanizing. Fast delivery, clear communication, and a live person on the telephone when I called with questions. Thanks Tammy.
