Manta Ray® Earth Anchors
Manta Ray® earth anchors are driven, tipping plate soil anchors used to resist tensile loads up to 20 tons. The beautifully simple, effective, and low-cost anchor system represents a major breakthrough in anchoring technology with a multitude of applications across the utility, civil construction, and marine anchoring markets. The MacLean Manta Ray® driven earth anchor is a simple and extremely effective system used to anchor tiebacks, seawalls, fabric structures, solar panels, and many other earth anchoring applications. These patented anchors save time and labor and can be installed either by hand-operated hydraulic equipment or machine mounted tools.
Once driven to the proper depth, the drive steel is retracted and the Manta Ray® anchor rod is tensioned. This causes the anchor head to rotate in the soil and lock in place. Each Manta Ray® anchor is proof loaded with our unique hydraulic load locker to the required holding capacity.
