Perfect for hard, rocky soils.
I use these for guy anchors on ham radio towers. My soil is very hard mixed with large rocks (we call them cobble out here). So far I've installed 12 of these anchors and only had 1 that must have hit something solid and stopped about 2 feet in. Abandoned that one, moved 6 inches and the new one went right in. I drive the anchors using a 65 lb electric jack hammer. Setup, drive, removing the drive bar takes one person just 20 minutes.
One tower has been up over 2 years and the guy cable tension has not changed at all, so the anchors are dead solid.
Using these beats digging and pouring concrete by a mile.
